Sharon Rutledge: A Life Filled with Love and Community

It is with a sad heart that I share my mother Sharon's obituary. On June 2nd, 2023, Sharon Rutledge, a beloved wife, mother, sister, and friend, received her angel wings. Her passing, although unexpected and far too soon, brought together her devoted family and friends in a circle of love and support.

Family and Personal Life

Sharon Rutledge, at the age of 63, was the cherished wife of Michael and a devoted mother to Sara (Mark) Kaminski, Michael, and Andrew. She shared a close bond with her siblings, Doreen Brosnahan Mullin and John (Susan) Brosnahan. Sharon was a loving grandmother to Gavin and Caden Kaminski, who held a special place in her heart. Additionally, she was an aunt to many nieces and nephews but shared an especially strong connection with Erin (Patrick) Sierer and Kelly (Josh) Hoyt. Her parents, Lorraine and John V. Brosnahan, welcomed her into heaven alongside her best friend, Diane Fowler.

Passions and Interests

Sharon Rutledge was a dedicated supporter of her grandchildren's activities. She never missed an opportunity to cheer them on from the sidelines, showcasing her unwavering love. Family was the center of Sharon's life, and she cherished spending time with her extended relatives. The diner visits with her great nieces, Teagan and Emerson, brought her joy as she indulged in the girly things she adored. Sharon's door was always open to her extended firehouse family, Sara and Mark's "framily," and anyone in need of coffee, a dip in the pool, or a cozy gathering around the firepit. Her home was a hub of hospitality, and she thoroughly enjoyed engaging in good gossip sessions on her patio.

Recently, Sharon discovered a passion for pickleball, a sport she embraced wholeheartedly. Alongside her daughter Sara, she formed a dynamic duo and a formidable team. Sharon's love for pickleball began to influence her sons, Michael and Andrew, and together, they formed an unstoppable pickleball force, strengthening their family bond through shared athletic endeavors.
